Evan Dalton

Evan is the co-founder of Certn, a people data company specializing in pre-employment screening, tenant screening, and KYC/AML solutions. Under his leadership, Certn achieved 14,000% revenue growth in just four years, earning recognition as Canada’s second fastest-growing company by Deloitte Fast 50. Certn has raised over $150 million USD from leading funds such as B Capital, Inovia, and BMO Ventures, and successfully acquired four companies in three years. Evan brings a proven track record in scaling businesses, driving innovation, and executing strategic acquisitions.

Al has a background as a Corporate and Capital Markets lawyer, having worked in Toronto at one of Canada’s top law firms. He has overseen as President of a conglomerate the operations of several businesses and ran a boutique entrepreneurial investment firm, which successfully acquired two companies through founder-focused acquisitions. With experience in owning, operating, advising, and growing businesses across various sectors, and a specialty in strategic M&A, Al is dedicated to creating long-term value and empowering founders through strategic partnerships. 

Taj Chohan

Partner & COO

With nearly two decades in the healthcare industry, Taj Chohan brings a unique combination of strategic vision and practical execution. He has guided hospitals and medical clinics in the deployment of eight figures in capital investments to improve patient care while providing clinical training to hundreds of physicians.  As a business consultant, Taj advised multiple clinics from concept to seven-figure success including launching a medical spa training program at the John Casablanca’s Institute. In a culmination of this experience has launched his own multi-site medical wellness brand to improve patient care directly.

Matthew Segal

Matthew is an advisor and seed investor in Northwyn, with a background in building innovative and scalable solutions. At just 24, he founded a consumer social app that scaled to 30 million users with a team of only three engineers, facilitating over 1 billion messages. He later founded a B2C telehealth mental health platform for teens, addressing critical gaps in accessibility and care. Matthew’s expertise lies in creating lean, efficient systems, with experience in health compliance and scaling technology-driven platforms, making him a valuable partner in driving Northwyn’s growth and innovation.

Ruben has a proven track record in roll-ups and consolidation efforts, having co-founded Forum Brands, where he raised $160 million, scaled to 16 brands, achieved $100 million in revenue, and grew the team to 85 employees. He has also launched four additional roll-up strategies across Europe and North America, raising over $100 million. As a former growth investor at TA Associates ($65B AuM), Ruben invested $400 million, executed 40 acquisitions, and served on seven boards, bringing deep expertise in private equity and M&A to his work.

Dan Dubois

Daniel is a serial entrepreneur and angel investor who sold two VC-backed companies by the age of 25. He led growth in top markets for Airbnb, driving innovation and market expansion. As a Global Champion of the EO and YPO Angel Investing Network, Daniel has mentored and invested in numerous companies, supporting founders in achieving their growth goals. In addition to his entrepreneurial achievements, Daniel serves as a B7 and G20 Delegate, leveraging his global experience to build connections and foster opportunities across industries.

Ryan Brinkhurst

Ryan is the Founder and CEO of Beautifi, a digital fintech lender specializing in unsecured consumer loans, with over 50 employees and $4 million in monthly originations. A serial entrepreneur, Ryan has founded businesses generating over $15 million in annual EBITDA and employing more than 100 people. He began his career at Accenture’s Strategy Consulting division, working on M&A and operational efficiency projects across diverse industries. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Finance from UBC’s Sauder School of Business and became a CFA charterholder in 2017.
